Cain Dingle is about to get way more than he bargained for in Emmerdale when he declares his love to his ex-wife Moira only for her to lose her temper and attack him in anger. But is her explosive reaction a means of concealing more vulnerable feelings?
Cain has been Moira’s rock since she confessed that she killed Emma Barton and then her son Adam ended up in prison for the crime. Cain has made it clear on a number of occasions over the past few months that his heart still lies with Moira and his current on/off relationship with Harriet Finch is under extreme strain.
With Moira struggling with the guilt of her crime and finding it hard to get her head around Adam now being on the run, she tries to make amends in the best way she can think of – by reaching out to Ross and Pete and offering them work as well as their shares in the farm.
Ross and Pete are surprised by her generosity and Cain is nervous that Moira is going to give herself away. But as they later talk intensely, Cain blurts out that he loves Moira – but she reacts badly and lashes out. Has Cain confirmed that he played a role in Adam’s escape?
