Mira Sorvino has praised her father after he threatened to kill Harvey Weinstein for ruining his daughter’s career.
‘My love for my father has only continued to grow since this moment. All the love in my heart!’ she tweeted in response to a video of her father Paul telling paparazzi that Weinstein ‘will be lying on the floor’ if they ever meet.
‘He is the most loving father, the most brilliant actor, the most beautiful operatic tenor, the most talented visual artist- the wisest and most human advice giver, & best Grandpa ever!!’ she added.

In the video, exclusive to TMZ, Paul said: ‘[Weinstein] better hope that he goes to jail. Because if we come across [each other] I think he will be lying on the floor.
‘He’s gonna go to jail that son of a b****. And good for him if he goes, because if not, he has to meet me. And I will kill that motherf*****.’
Both Mira and Ashley Judd accused Weinstein of sexual harassment, with the pair publicly claiming that the producer led a smear campaign to derail their careers, specifically preventing the actresses from getting roles in The Lord Of The Rings.
Director Peter Jackson confirmed their stories in December.
‘Amongst the many names raised, Fran and I expressed our enthusiasm for Ashley Judd and Mira Sorvino. In fact we met with Ashley and discussed two possible roles with her. After this meeting we were told by Miramax to steer clear of both Ashley and Mira, because they claimed to have had “bad experiences” with these particular actresses in the past,’ said Jackson in a statement to Deadline.
In response, Mira, 50, tweeted: ‘Just seeing this after I awoke, I burst out crying. There it is, confirmation that Harvey Weinstein derailed my career, something I suspected but was unsure. Thank you Peter Jackson for being honest. I’m just heartsick.’
