With just three weeks until Ryan Thomas’ debut as the mysterious Rafael in Neighbours, we’ve been treated to our official first look at the lad in Ramsay Street in character.

Doing nothing to clear up the mystery, Rafael is seen stood in the backpackers in one image, but the other reveals a very nasty looking scar across his back.

Does that have something to do with the reason behind his surprise appearance?

He’s there to exact revenge on an Erinsborough favourite, and it seems like the target may have been the one to have given Rafael that scar. And judging how bad looks, that’s one heck of a load of revenge coming someone’s way.

Or will it? When Rafael starts to fall for someone on the street, it might ruin his dark plan.

Rafael makes his first appearance on 12 February in a very special Neighbours episode which is set to be aired at 10pm.

Entitled Hit And Run, it’ll explore some darker themes as Izzy arrives to target Dr Karl Kennedy once more.
