Sorry to devastate your lives, EastEnders fans but in case you had forgotten, your Friday night plans are going to be thrown into disarray this evening. Instead of an EastEnders episode featuring dogs pooping out rings and an inexplicable piano sing song and conga line through Albert Square, you will be faced with a pesky football match. Grr.
Now, despite many dramatic reports of the show being cancelled or dropped for football, it is simply just a shift around to accommodate the FA Cup match between Yeovil Town and Manchester United. Those of us with relatively long memories will recall that we had an out of the norm episode on Wednesday, meaning that no episodes have been missed out.
We now have an extra half an hour free to fill as we like – perhaps a quick walk of the dog, a few rounds on Call Of Duty, a conversation with the fam or (*shudders at the thought*) we could even watch the footie. Lols, good one.
While we have a staggering three day wait for more Walford action, there is plenty to look forward to as the missing money shenanigans step up a gear and could finally reveal the culprit next week.
If that’s not your bag, there is a samosa based crisis for Masood Ahmed while Ted Murray and Patrick Trueman square up for the chess match to end them all.
EastEnders continues on Monday 29th January at 8pm on BBC One.
