It looks as though we will be seeing more of WINNER again very soon as they have just flown out to LA to record a comeback music video.
On 19 February, the group allegedly flew out to Los Angeles to record a new video and a number of industry sources say they plan to make a comeback in March this year.
Music exec Yang Hyun Suk had taken to Instagram earlier this month to tease at a high production video, and revealed that new music from the band would be a completely different style to what they usually put out.
With rumours of their comeback circulating among fans, a source from YG Entertainment responded and said: ‘It is true that WINNER has flown to Los Angeles to begin filming the music video for their upcoming title track.
‘They are completely immersed in preparations for their comeback.’
The group went on a hiatus in 2015 while they pursued solo careers but quickly reformed a year later and have since gone on to surpass the 100 million stream mark with their hit Really Really, while managing to stay in the weekly top 100 Gaon Chart list without dropping down even once.
They were the first ever male idol group to take over the 100 million mark, and joined TWICE, Black Pink and G-Friend who were also other idols to take hold of this record.
When hearing the news the band responded by saying: ‘This makes us want to be singers that our fans can be even more proud of.’
They added: ‘We want to communicate deeply with our fans, and we want to expand WINNER’s domain by being active in a lot of different areas.’
