Taylor Swift fans have reportedly sent death threats to Dua Lipa after the singer expressed her love for Kanye West.
Seems a bit dramatic.
There has been an ongoing feud between Taylor and Kanye since he stole the mic off her at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards – as I’m sure we can all remember in one way or another, whatever ‘side’ you’re on.
Since then, the pair have battled it out in a war of words with Taylor’s most recent revenge coming through on her latest album Reputation, where she throws a load of shade in the 40-year-olds direction.
But it’s not like Dua Lipa has been involved in the feud, in fact she has actually shown a lot of support to Taylor and is a secret Swifty herself.
According to Rolling Stone, the 22-year-old won over Swift’s fans when she was spotted wearing Taylor’s merch during a soundcheck in Germany.
The Love Story singer even reacted to the picture and tweeted out: ‘I AM SCREECHING WITH JOY.’
However, when it came to the crunch, Dua Lipa chose Kanye West over Taylor in a this or that interview with the publication.
She said in regards to the hate she received following the admission: ‘I wasn’t thinking about their beef.
‘I was thinking about their music, and Taylor is amazing, but I’m such a hip-hop fan that I would probably choose Kanye over anyone.’
Oh no Dua! You’ve just gone and inspired Taylor’s next single.
Swifties took to social media in pure outrage at her response and flooded the singer’s Instagram with snake emojis.
Dua continued: ‘They were sending me snake emojis for, like, three days straight. They’re like, “I hope you die.” I’m like, “Yo! I literally didn’t say anything.”‘

The Hotter Than Hell singer won the Best Solo Artist award at the Brits last week.
In her acceptance speech she said: ‘Thank you so, so much. I am grateful for this and so humbled.
‘I want to thank every single female that has been on this stage before me and has given girls like me a place to be inspired by and [someone to] look up to and allow us to dream.
‘Here’s to more women on these stages, winning these awards and taking over the world.’
Tbh, we can’t wait for a collab between Taylor and Dua to show the world what women can do.
