Paris Jackson has made her big screen debut in new film Gringo and stunned at the LA premiere alongside her co-star Charlize Theron.
David Oyelowo, Joel Edgerton, Amanda Seyfried, Thandoe Newton and Sharlto Copley star in the new movie, a dark comedy and action which sees business Harold Soyinka (David Oyelowo) battle for survival when he finds himself crossing the line from law-abiding citizen to wanted criminal.
Charlize walked the red carpet in a sharp white suit, while Paris enjoyed the red carpet of her first movie in a flowing black gown.
Lupita N’yongo showed up to help celebrate the release along with cast members Joel Edgerton, Amanda Seyfried and Sharlto Copley, as the movie’s director praised actor David for his role.
‘I think he’s a really talented actor. I had dinner with him, we got on really well and he totally got the tone of what I was trying to do,’ he told Entertainment Tonight.
‘And I just knew halfway through dinner he was the guy I wanted to cast in this movie.’
Speaking about Paris’ performance as Nelly, Charlize also had nothing but praise.
‘She comes from a great legacy, but I also don’t think that you want to be defined by the weight of all of that stuff,’ She said. ‘And I just really admired that she came in and really auditioned for this and was prepared and ready, and she handled this as an individual really well, as an actor really well, and I was impressed by that.’
The movie, shot in Mexico and Illinois, is directed by Joel’s brother Nash Edgerton.
Gringo is released in the UK Friday.
