BTS fans will be sorely disappointed as the lads won’t be making an appearance at this weekend’s iHeartRadio awards despite rumours they would be.

The septet had been rumoured to be in attendance for their nominations for best boy band and best fan army at the 2018 awards being held in LA.

But alas, the army will not see their boys potentially accepting two awards.

Their management, Big Hit Entertainment, revealed they wouldn’t have time to pop to Los Angeles to be there in person because their schedules are too full, because everyone wants a piece of these guys.

They said: ‘We are aware that there is much interest in the iHeartRadio Music Awards. BTS has busy schedules, including preparations for their new album, so it is unfortunately difficult for them to attend this awards ceremony.’

They added: ‘BTS fans from around the world are sending support for the awards show. No matter the outcome of the awards, we express our sincere gratitude.’

The awards are set to take place on Sunday at the Forum, with some awards having already been dished out.

Foo Fighters won rock song of the year, and Luis Fonsi was honoured with latin artist of the year. Chance The Rapper will get the innovator award and Camila Cabello will get the fangirls award.

The awards are set to have a few exciting additions, even if they are missing BTS. One being that Taylor Swift is to premiere the video for Delicate during awards.

The awards take place on Sunday at 5pm PT/1am GMT.
