It’s no secret that John Cena is a huge BTS fan.
The former wrestler and Hollywood actor even told Metro.co.uk in our exclusive interview which K-Pop tracks he likes best.
Known for bizarrely sharing images of K-pop superstars on his Instagram without captions, including ones of Supreme Boi and BTS’s J-Hope, John is a tried-and-tested member of the BTS ARMY.
Which is why we weren’t surprised, just elated, to see John dancing around like a giggly schoolgirl when BTS performed at the Kids’ Choice Awards recently.
South Korean boy band BTS can be seen performing to a crowd of thousands live on stage when Cena starts jumping up and down with the boys, front and centre of the stage.
He even starts trying (badly) to take part in choreographed dance move sequences but ends up looking more like an embarrassing dad than with-it boybander.
John was hosting the awards ceremony and kicked off the night by joining in with the BTS track Mic Drop, which has helped the band break into new audiences in the US and UK.
BTS are a prolific K-pop band in Asia, although they hadn’t broken the Western world until recently.
With increasing gigs in the States, the band are widening their fan base and have become an essential ingredient, performing at lots of American awards ceremonies and with TV appearances under their belts.
In the past, BTS have performed at the American Music Awards, and appeared as guests on talk shows Ellen, and Kimmel Live!
