He might be only 21 years old, but Martin Garrix has made a big impact in the world of EDM.
The Scared to be Lonely hitmaker has collaborated with acts like Dua Lipa, Troye Sivan, and Bebe Rexha, and has recently brought out a new track titled Game Over.
The release, along with Looper, has already got critics talking. But what do you know about the man behind the DJ decks?
Garrix was born on May 16, 1996, in Amstelveen, Netherlands. His real name is Martijn Gerard Garritsen.
He began playing music early, learning the guitar aged just eight.
It wasnt until seeing Tiesto play at the 2004 Athens Olympics that he decided to go into EDM, though.
The DJ then downloaded software FL Studio and taught himself how to make music.
The music he was making was eventually discovered by Tiesto, and after signing to Spinnin Records, Garrix co-released Torrent with Sidney Samson on Tiestos Musical Freedom label.
His most famous song is probly Animals, which was released in 2013 and made him the youngest person ever to reach number 1 on Beatport.
The single reached number 1 in Belgium and the UK and cracked the top 10 in the Netherlands, Austria, France, Germany, New Zealand, Sweden, and Switzerland.
He is now signed to Sony on a worldwide contract.
Garrixs debut album Gold Skies came out in 2014.
After that, he continued making music, and was ranked number 1 on DJ Mags Top 100 DJs list for 2016 and 2017.
His net worth is reported by some to be between $22 million and $50 million (between £15 million and £37 million).
This money will, of course, come from record sales, but the disk jockey has also appeared in a documentary about dance music with Carl Cox.
