Childish Gambino drops harrowing video for new track This Is America
This Is America is a comment on gun violence in the USA (Picture: YouTube)

Childish Gambino, AKA Donald Glover, has dropped his latest single.

And the video for it is strong.

The track itself is called This Is America, and the video tackles a prominent topic currently in discussion – gun violence.

The video sees a topless Childish Gambino moving through a warehouse pulling out all kinds of crazy dance moves, but before things really get going he shoots a man in the head.

As the video continues he goes on to commit another shocking act of gun violence before turning to the camera and saying This is America.

Towards the end he stands on top of a car and lights up a large spliff.

The video was directed by Hiro Murai and in the last few frames of the video, fans are convinced theyve spotted SZA sitting on a car.

Warning: Video contains graphic content

The video is definitely a thinker with many levels to be unpicked.

Fans were overjoyed at the release this weekend, with some even saying the video is better than the song itself.

The new Childish Gambino video is better than the song but it's a great video.

Donald is set to retire his alter ego with his new album coming later this year. He recently left Glassnote Records for RCA ready for the release.

Of his decision to quit music, he previously said: I think endings are good because they force things to get better.
