Mark Cuban thinks the value of pro-sports teams have blasted up after the Supreme Court knocked down a federal ban on sports gambling.
Cuban, who owns the Dallas Mavericks, told CNBCs Carl Quintanilla Monday, “I think everyone that owns a top-four professional sports team saw the value of their team double.”

Its pretty hard for me to disagree with Cuban on this issue. A lot of casual fans are going to take sports a lot more seriously if there is some serious money on the line. Hell, I dont really care about baseball or regular-season NBA. However, you can bet everything you have that Im going to pay a lot more attention if my money is on the line. Absolutely no doubt at all.
Gambling will probably result in more tickets being sold, higher attendance, better television ratings and much more. Ratings are probably where youre going to see the biggest spike. Lot more eyes on the screen if people are betting money.
What a wonderful time to be alive.
