A horrifying Toy Story theory is making the rounds and it's pretty traumatising

A new Toy Story theory will seriously bum you out (Picture: Pixar)

Toy Story is not only a masterpiece, its a treasure trove for fan theories.

Theres the theory that the older toys in Andys possession were left to him by his father, who died of a polio-related illness (a theory which was debunked). Theres the plausible idea that the little girl who owned Jessie in that soul-destroying sequence in Toy Story 2 was Andys mother.

Theres the theory that Andys parents are actually going through a divorce, hence why hes missing in the films. And theres an argument that Sid became a garbage man so he could save broken toys from the trash (wrong, hes totally evil).

But the latest theory will pretty much destroy your soul.

My daugjter just ruined Toy Story for ever. She said if one of the toys died Andy wouldnt know and he'd carry on playing with its corpse

Sorry, we had to share so we can revel in the misery with others.

Even theories that counteract this idea – which, well remind you, came from the imagination of a child – are pretty grim.

One popular Toy Story theory on the internet is that unless they are crushed or incinerated, the toys are immortal and cannot die of old age.

This means that they will live forever, until the end of humanity, outliving every owner theyve had.

OK, we need to go hug some pillows.
