Lady Leshurr has documented the moment she was verbally abused by a security guard as she tried to leave Wireless festival on Sunday.
The singer and rapper was attempting to leave the festival after shed finished performing on the final night of the event when she claims a security guard refused to let her leave through the exit shed been told to go through, and that he began showering her with expletives when she tried to do so.
She alleges the security guard threatened to shoot me & my people and told me to suck my mom.
In an instagram post alongside a video of her verbal altercation with the guard, she wrote: Last night I performed at @wirelessfest & was told to leave through the car park where our car was parked by two female security. The green door is where we was told to go, but this lil guy wasnt having it cus he didnt know i was a performer.
And because we didnt leave he threatened to shoot me & my people & told me to suck my mom ???????? look at him grabbing for his “gun” he kept saying he had ???? called us dumb azz ni****
She wrote alongside it: Hello @WirelessFest your security are DISGUSTING. This man threatened to shoot us hes over there lookin for his gun and told me to suck my mom your security are meant to be protecting the visitors not attacking. IF YOU DONT SACK THIS GUY SMH.
Wireless have since confirmed that they have sacked the security guard in question and offered an apology to Lady Leshurr.
A spokesperson told Metro.co.uk: As soon as this unacceptable and disgusting behaviour was brought to our attention- the security guard in question was sacked.
We apologise profusely to Lady Lehsurr that she and her friends had to be subjected to such a vicious verbal attack.
Lady Leshurrs post sparked a debate among her fans, with some claiming she was being unfair in sharing the footage.
One wrote: I dont think @LadyLeshurr understands the stress security go through. She needs to understand the negative impact that stupid video it is going to have on the “lil guy”. Your still very unknown to many people hun.
But the 22-year-old was quick to defend her actions.
I did security for 2 years. Which is why Im angry at the way he treated visitors, she said. Security is worse for females. You cant justify grabbing for a gun. Rule number 1 never lose ur cool. Dont speak on things you dont know. He will get professional trained if anything.
She went on: I never once said who I was in the video so that Last part is void. Im raising awareness so wireless can get better security for next time. [In a separate incident] One security sexually harassed a visitor and nothing was done but I guess that wouldve been a “stupid video” if it was caught on camera.
She closed her argument by sharing her shock that followers were defending his actions.
Its disgusting that people are tryna Justify his behaviour like he didnt reach for a gun in his bag. Like what wouldve happened if he really did have one and somebody got shot and killed? Ppl that dont have a clue about security talking the most aswell.
