After being reunited with baby Susie after a kidnapping ordeal, Eva Price said goodbye to Coronation Street tonight. But her and baby Susie didnt leave alone…
Johnny was finally discharged from hospital but the minute the doctor left his room, police officers entered. Johnny was arrested for kidnapping Susie. A frantic Jenny then called Carla.
Eva, meanwhile, was distracted over breakfast as she mulled over what Carla had said to her about her fears of Johnny dying in prison.
Johnny admitted to the police that hed taken Susie because she was the last piece of Aidans that he had. He apologised, again, for what hed done. As he sat in the station a furious Carla confronted Eva and told her that Johnny had been arrested, leaving Eva shaken. Eva returned to the pub only to see Toyah slipping an old hat of Susies into her handbag. This worried a protective Eva even more.
An oblivious Adam, who had been growing closer to Eva, clashed with Peter, who warned him away from the young mother. Peter explained to Adam that Eva was just like Toyah – both only thought of themselves. Adam snapped at Peter and told him to mind his own buisiness. Little did he know that across town, Eva was making plans of her own.
First, Eva went to the police station and told the stunned Connors and police officers that she was withdrawing her statement. Johnny was free to go – but when he tried to thank Eva, she rushed away. Carla reassured him, telling him – wrongly – that there would be plenty more chances to apologise to Eva.
Adam took a worried Eva to the cafe, where Eva dropped a bombshell on him – she was moving to France, with her mother and taking Susie with her. Eva thought that there was too much disruption and risk to her piece of mind in Weatherfield.
She explained to Adam that it wasnt just Johnny – Toyah too was overly attached to Susie. A heartbroken Adam lashed out and called Eva a selfish cow. He pleaded with her to give him another chance, but Eva couldnt bring herself to stay.
At the pub Leanne was busy planning for a new flat for the family. Eva told Leanne and Toyah that Susie was lucky to have them. She gave Leanne an enormous hug and praised her clueless half sister.
Adam drinking alone, attempting to drown his sorrows when Daniel found him. Daniel quickly realised that Adam was upset about Eva and urged Adam to follow his heart.
Eva slipped out of the pub with Susie and some packed bags. She was startled to see Adam, with a bag of his own. He told her that she couldnt stay but that he would leave his life behind and go with her and Susie to France, as the pair admitted that they loved each other.
A heartbroken Leanne and Toyah found Evas goodbye note, gently explaining why she had to leave and reiterating that she loved them. Eva took one last look at the street before leaving for good with Adam, the pairs happy ending ahead of them.
Or not quite. Its Aidans inquest soon and the pair have been spotted in photos on set making a last visit. Hopefully Eva can finally settle her differences with the Connors – but will she ever get a proper goodbye with Leanne and Toyah?
