Dennis Rickman is about to find himself in a dangerous situation as he falls into a bad crowd – and Keanu Taylor becomes concerned for his welfare as its clear the youngster is out of his depth. As EastEnders continues to reel from the horrific knife crime attack that saw Shakil killed in cold blood, fears grow that Denny could also end up in peril.
As Phil leaves Denny with Keanu at the Arches, Keanu sends the lad to the café as he is too busy. Getting bored, Denny wanders to McKlunkys and buys a phone from a gang of older boys – determined to fit in and impress them, he agrees when one of the lads asks if he will do a job for him in exchange for cash.
Of course, alarm bells are already ringing here and when Keanu finds a rucksack stashed at the Arches later, he is shocked by what he finds inside and automatically assumes that its Phils doing. However, when Denny then turns up looking for the bag, the penny drops. The gang then arrives and Keanu threatens them with the police before Phil then rocks up and scares them off.
But this just leaves Denny in a more dangerous situation as he receives a threatening text from the gang and Keanu soon discovers the severity of the situation when he makes another finding relating to the contents of the bag.
Staggered by the situation that Denny has found himself in, Keanu tries to talk some sense into him and seeing how scared Denny is of what the gang might do to him, Keanu becomes protective and vows to help him out of this. However, the Arches is later targeted with graffiti and damage and Phil is furious but Keanu keeps quiet about what is behind it.
Keegan Baker gives Keanu a devastating reminder of where this could lead and Keanu is chilled to the bone and prepares to tell Sharon and Phil everything. But another turn of events unfolds and leads to Keanu risking everything and meeting up with the gang.
Will he manage to save Denny from a violent fate? Or will he end up facing the wrath of the young thugs himself?
