In the first episode of the second season of the USA Network series The Sinner, it takes a little while to see a familiar face. Though Bill Pullman returns for Season 2 as Detective Harry Ambrose, the chilling opening moments of the new season take the time to set up the new crime: a young boy (Elisha Henig) calmly and deliberately poisons his parents while staying in a roadside motel . Its clear who did it. But, particularly when Ambrose comes to town, its apparent that why he did it will be the seasons driving force.
On the first edition of Still Watching: The Sinner, sponsored by USA Network, hosts Emma Stefansky and Matt Singer discuss the seasons first episode, the shocking twist at the end, and everything it implies for the eight-episode season ahead. Listen to the podcast above, and subscribe to Still Watching for the remaining four episodes of Still Watching: The Sinner; they will be included as bonus content at the end of Vanity Fairs television podcast, currently covering the HBO limited series Sharp Objects.
The Sinner returns Wednesday, August 1 at 10/9c only on USA Network.
