Gemma Winter was left crushed tonight as her Rovers dream disappeared. And then, to make matters worse, she discovered that Johnny and Jenny had bought the pub.
Peter had initially rejected Johnnys low offer to buy the Rovers but Toyah was desperate to move on and was angry that Peter had taken sole charge of the sale.
Toyah told Leanne that she had a plan to resolve the situation, as the pub continued to hang in limbo.
Meanwhile Gemma wished Henry good luck as he rushed off to the bank, to plead for a loan to help buy the pub. It was the young couples last chance.
Henry hoped that his family name alone would be sufficient to secure the money. But he returned empty handed and Gemma was left distraught, despite Ritas attempts to cheer her up.
After a tricky start, Gemma had shadowed Leanne and Toyah and had impressed the locals at the Rovers. She neatly dealt with rowdy customers and even created a signature cocktail.
But it was all for nothing, as a frustrated Toyah accepted Johnnys offer and told him that she wasnt prepared to wait for the pub to be sold.
Jenny had initially opposed Johnnys purchase of the Rovers but softened after he told her that he needed something to focus on, following Aidans death and the loss of the factory.
A kindly Chesney offered Gemma a few shifts at the kebab shop. She accepted but was furious after Rita told her that the Connors had bought the Rovers.
Gemma stormed into the pub and confronted Johnny and Jenny. She called Jenny two faced and a backstabber, before leaving, closely followed by Henry.
Will Gemma get her revenge? Henry certainly seems capable of all sorts, so this battle may not be over yet.
