Coronation Street could be set to tear Carla Connor and Peter Barlow apart forever as a horrific shooting will rock the cobbles this week – and Peter is the target as the bullying teen targeting his son Simon strikes and opens fire.

As Simon returns from holiday with Ken, he is soon beset with threats from Tyler, who knows Simon intends to speak against him in court. Peter vows to protect his son after he is almost bundled into a car by the masked thugs – only to be saved by a passing Kate Connor.

As Simon is taken to Underworld by Peter, Carla is left in charge of watching him but after Sinead Tinker takes a funny turn, Carla races out of the factory to find Daniel Osbourne and Tyler seizes his chance.
