Coronation Street has revealed some testing times ahead for Ryan Connor in the wake of the sudden death of his mate Cormac this week. At the end of a boozy night out at a club opening, Cormac is trying to encourage Ryan – along with Sophie Webster and Bethany Platt – to take cocaine and ecstasy.

At one point, he shoves some of the pills in Ryans pocket but while Ryan is busy arguing with Sophie, who reminds him about what happened the last time he got involved with drugs, Cormac has overdosed.

Ryan returns to the flat and finds him collapsed and he is thrown into a panic. Instead of calling an ambulance, he rings Ali Neeson but its too late to save Cormac. Coronation Streets latest picture preview has now unveiled that Ryan turns to Sophie to try and back up his version of events.
