The band have exploded in popularity recently, and that wont be stopping any time soon.
Although theyre a group, the boys all have their own distinct identities and characteristics. Find out about on of them – J.Hope.
J-Hope was born Jung Hoseok and is one of the main dancers in the group, as well as acting as the lead rapper and sub vocalist.
The 23-year-old was born in Gwangju, which is in the south-west corner of the country, and his birthday is 18 February 1994.
He chose the stage name J-Hope because he wants to be a source of hope to the BTS Army, which is what they call their fans.
Before BTS, Hoseok was part of a dance troupe called Neuron, and his success led him to audition as an idol trainee.
He became the third member of BTS after RM and Suga, and from there the rest is history.
J-Hope is now one of the songwriters of the band, and has 77 songs credited to his name.
He also released a solo album this year called Hope World, which gave him the title of highest charting solo K-pop artist on the Billboard 200 when it peaked at 38.
The 5ft 10 performer says hed love to meet a girl who loves him, is good at cooking, and reads a lot.
Although he did have a girlfriend in the past, she apparently left him for someone else and hes currently single.
