The South Korean president congratulated the band on their Billboard success on Twitter last month.
And now President Moon Jae-in and the First Lady have gone out of their way to meet K-Pop band BTS backstage – and we dont know who was more awe-struck.
The seven-piece band performed at Sunday nights 2018 Korea-France Friendship Concert in Paris and had the special honour of meeting some very important fans afterwards.
Along with performers MoonGoGo and Black Spring, BTS were invited to represent the Resonance of Korean Musicians.
The event was also held to highlight the friendly relations between France and South Korea during Moons state visit.
Jimin, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, V, and Jungkook shared pictures with the First Lady Kim Jung-sook and the President backstage and later posted them on the bands Official Twitter page.
Last month, President Moon congratulated the singers on topping the Billboard 200 – twice – with their song Idol.
President Moon Jae-ins tweet read: Huge congratulations to BTS on topping the Billboard 200 for a second time!
The message was followed by the hashtags Eolssu its great and Hooray its great – which are two lyrics from the groups hit Idol.
First Lady Kim Jung-sook also proved herself to be quite a fan of the music when she was filmed dancing along to Idol in the audience on Sunday night.
Previously, the First Lady gave each of the boyband members commemorative watches with their names engraved.
She told them: Im proud of you. I sincerely congratulate you.
Through music, you are a source of strength for young people by representing their anxieties and worries about their futures.
