We all know Harriet Finch as the patient local vicar of Emmerdale, with an ear for everyones woes and the occasional penchant for bending the rules and calling on favours from people she knew when she was in the police force.
Very little has been explored about her past both in her personal life and her career but thats all set to change when she comes face to face with drug addict Dawn and the pair instantly recognise one another from a shared history.
Rhona Goskirk has been trying to help Dawn after finding her hiding out at the cottage and a weary Pete Barton is forced to look for her when she goes AWOL again. Pete eventually lets Dawn stay for a while, against his own wishes, but Dawn misreads the signals and tries to kiss him.
She then threatens to lie to Rhona that he made the pass at her, but Pete isnt keeping secrets from his partner and explains the truth. A mortified Dawn shoves Rhona and causes her to sustain a black eye so Pete gives chase only for Harriet to step in.
But while she diffuses the situation, her expression turns to horror when she clocks Dawns face and its clear that they both know each other very well.
Harriet hopes that this is the last that she has seen of Dawn but when Dawn then makes herself known at the church, Harriet panics. Dawn confronts her over what happened in their past but what will we learn about Harriet? And will Dawn bring huge trouble to her door?
