General Leia will be able to return to screens in 2019 without resorting to recasting, CGI or animatronics.

And the brother of late actress Carrie Fisher says her posthumous appearance in Star Wars: Episode IX will look natural, as if it was shot yesterday.

US director Todd said he was thrilled with the truly satisfying conclusion of Carries most famous role as he shared an insight into the latest film.

Todd told Good Morning America: Theres a lot of minutes of footage. I dont mean just outtakes. This is unused, new content that could be woven into the storyline.

Thats whats going to give everybody such a great kick. Its going to look like it was meant to be. Like it was shot yesterday.
