The consequences of his actions have finally caught up with young killer Hunter Owen (Charlie Winter) in EastEnders as he faces his plea hearing over the murder of Ray Kelly. With a nervous Mel (Tamzin Outhwaite) watching from the gallery, anxious to fight on her sons behalf, she waits with baited breath to see how he will plead.
Its no secret that Charlie is leaving his role as the unhinged Hunter and in a recent trailer, a broken Mel was forced to face facts as Keegan Baker (Zack Morris) reminds her what he is really like.
Suited up, a stony faced Hunter faces the court, knowing that he faces years in prison for shooting and burying Ray in the woods. Mel got a true insight into his cold blooded mentality when he later went back to dig Rays corpse up and remove the bullet and his angry outbursts led to her hiding knives.
Their escape plan was foiled and now Hunter is facing punishment.
But if he pleads guilty and goes to prison, how will Mel cope? And will she take her anger out on Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) who she blames for Hunters downfall?
