Doha: The Katara amphitheatre will witness the 7th International Oscar Awards ceremony for the opera and classical music presenting nearly 100 musician with the participation of a handful of world-class musicians and biggest names of artists in Opera.

In this regard, Darwish Ahmad Al Sheebani, Head of Cultural Affairs Department at the Cultural Village Foundation – Katara said that 20 of the most renowned Opera artists from around the world are taking part in this ceremony which Katara is hosting jointly with the Italian based foundation “Verona per lArena”.

He noted that chosing Katara to host the Oscar Awards for the second time reflects the confidence it has on the international level and its confidence to host such events on a large scale.
