A brand new paramedic is set to join the Casualty cast this month in preparation for an explosive series. Silent Witness star Uriel Emil will play the steely and tough character Lev, who makes a dramatic entrance on his first day on the job.
Lev comes crashing in when Jan Jenning (played by Di Botcher) and Ruby Spark (Madeleine Hill) catch him in a scrap with someone outside the ambulance station.
Described as a devoted family man, Lev will soon have his world flipped upside down on all fronts in the coming year.
I feel privileged and honoured to be part of the Casualty clan and I hope the viewers will enjoy the fresh angle explored through my storyline, Uri enthused.
Executive Producer Simon Harper, added: Uriel brings a fantastic, exciting energy to the table in his portrayal of the troubled Lev.
As a Russian paramedic with a stormy past hes a really fresh and unique character in the Casualty mix, and Im so looking forward to the audience getting to know him in whats going to be an explosive series.
Theres high drama around the corner as Archie Hudson (Genesis Lynea) takes matters into her own hands in upcoming scenes to try and get justice for a wronged patient, and decides to help him escape from the emergency department before the police can catch him.
Already making progress with his mental health after his suicide attempt, Iain Dean (Michael Stevenson) runs into an old friend, Dixie (Jane Hazlegrove), and their chance meeting encourages him to think about his future.
Meanwhile, Rash Masum (Neet Mohan) struggles to cope under an increasing amount of pressure and David Hide (Jason Durr) finds it difficult living with his teenage son.
