Laura Norton has opened up about her relationship with Emmerdale co-star Mark Jordon.
The soap stars have kept their romance largely under wraps since meeting on set, but delighted fans after announcing their engagement, at the beginning of the year.
And, during an appearance on Lorraine, Laura – who plays Kerry Wyatt on the show – lifted the lid on their connection.
We met on set and became friends throughout the next couple of years, and it grew from there, the 36-year-old told the host.
We got to work together again which was brilliant.
The actress also insisted that working together every day made them closer.
I dont know what other people would say that are in a relationship that work together, but we absolutely loved it, she continued.
We loved it. We would rehearse the night before and travel into work together, hes just a dreamboat and I love working with him.
Having that trust where you can just go to places you might not be able to with other actors…
The pair have had a tough few months, after Mark appeared in court accused of attacking a pensioner in a pub.
The 54-year-old was found not guilty of affray, unlawful wounding and assault by beating, following a row in a pub.
And Laura revealed the pair are starting to move on from the drama, and have put their focus into planning their upcoming wedding.
But she isnt taking on the step-mum title with Marks two children just yet.
Weve got to start making plans again now, were looking forward to that, she added.
Were just very close, Ive never called myself the step-mum, but just a bonus bit of the family.
Theyre amazing human beings, weve been very lucky with the situation, its been brilliant and easy.
Lorraine continues on weekday mornings, at 8.30am, on ITV.
