*Warning there are spoilers in this article for Avengers: Infinity War.

Avengers: Infinity War left us all on a cliff hanger when it appeared Thanos had turned our much loved superheros to dust.

However, as theories sprout from every corner of the internet, it appears fans are convinced at least one of the characters has survived.

And it seems the new trailer for Endgame has confirmed this.

The clip starts with Tony Stark floating around space with his oxygen and water tank running low.

However, it seems he is not alone, as fans are convinced theyve spotted Guardians Of The Galaxys Groot in the background.

Taking to Twitter, eagle-eyed viewers were keen to point out the shot, and sparked excitement for the characters return.

One wrote: Groot ??!?!! #AvengersEndgame, while another questioned: Is that #Groot? Top of image.

Someone else commented: Is Anyone Noticed Groot In Avengers End Game Trailer ??

However, some fans are less convinced, as they explained how Groots return just would not make sense.

A fan said: i hope not bc that would t make sense, before another added: That is not Groot.

Who knows what the mysterious silhouette is, guess well just have to wait and see who returns when the movie drops later next year.

As for now, heres what we do know from the trailer – and its not a lot!

The trailer begins with Tony Stark leaving a message for Pepper Potts, telling her part of the journey is the end.

He also informs her that food and water has run out, and that oxygen is also running out.

We then see Black Widow saying: Thanos did exactly what he said he was going to do. He wiped out 50% of all living creatures, while the trailer is interspersed with shots of Captain America crying and looking at a picture of Peggy.

While we dont learn that much, we find out that Ant-Man is out of the Quantum Realm, and Hawkeye is out of retirement.

Michael Douglas, aka Hank Pym, previously confirmed the Quantum Realm would be the key, saying: The Quantum Realm plays an important part in all the next chapters, I think, of the Marvel films.

Avengers 4 will hit UK cinemas on 26 April 2019.
