You know when BTS sang on Mic Drop: Another trophy, my hands carry em, too many that I cant even count em?

Well, they werent lying, as they keep racking up those honours and records.

BTS have secured South Koreas biggest selling album of all time, with Map Of The Soul: Persona smashing the record in just two months.

Now thats what we call clout.

Guinness World Records confirmed the huge achievement, announcing that Map Of The Soul: Persona, which was released in April, had surpassed the sales of Kim Gun-mos 1995 album Mis-Encounter, also known as Wrongful Encounter or Wrongful Meeting.

The previous record was held by Kims third album, which sold 3.3 million copies in 1995.

In a statement released to Billboard, Guinness said: Map of the Soul: Persona by BTS (South Korea) had sold 3,399,302 copies in their homeland as of May 2019. The boy bands seven-track EP, featuring the single Boy with Luv, was released on 12 April 2019 and sold 3,229,032 copies in its first month.

Persona topped charts around the world, including the US Billboard 200 and the UKs Official Albums Chart. The set debuted at No.1 on the Gaon Album Chart dated 13 April 2019, where it remained for three consecutive weeks.

Whats even more impressive is that 2.6 million of those sales came from pre-orders.

Map Of The Soul: Persona became the first ever Korean album to top the UK charts, as the ARMY got the EP to number one in April.

Not content with dominating the record books, RM, Jimin, Jungkook, Suga, V, J-Hope and Jin are also taking over our phones and cinemas this summer.
