The time is now …

Kanye West and Kid Cudi have debuted their joint album Kids See Ghosts at a pretty intimate listening party in LA.

This comes after Kanye brought out a star-studded crowd to Wyoming last week including his wife Kim Kardashian, Jonah Hill and Chris Rock for his solo album Ye – but now he has chosen a simpler and more humble approach with his latest listening party.

The 40-year-old rapper joined forces with his protege Kid Cudi for their new project and although the record is yet to drop on streaming services, fans were able to access the event by tuning into an official broadcast on the WAV app.

Kanye and the 34-year-old Cleveland-native were surrounded by dozens of people as they enjoyed the debut of their seven-track album in a bonfire themed event.

According to Pitchfork, the record is an eclectic effort that sees Kanye riffing on The Handsmaids Tale, while another early track offers an appearance from Pusha T.

The event was so low key that there was no sign of Kim being there and we know Kim rarely turns down a big bash after she arrived to attend the Ye album listening last week in Wyoming at the Diamond Cross Ranch in Jackson Hole.

Although last week things didnt go to plan turn after the listening party as the Owners of the Wyoming ranch have banned any more rappers from hosting events there.

Jealousy got a first win

Jealousy, their unbelievably catchy comeback single from March, picked up a win on SBS MTVs The Show.

The trophy was an indication that the groups popularity in their home country was on the rise, as they hadnt won since Dramarama. (Beautiful deserved better but thats a whole different feature).

Justin Bieber is set to be honoured by his hometown later this month as a brand new exhibition opens celebrating his rise to fame.

Yes Beliebers: Justin has donated over 60 personal artifacts from his life for Steps to Stardom, which runs at the Perth and Stratford museum in Ontario.

Opening on February 18, the new exhibition will chart the Sorry singer’s rise to fame, as well as showcasing personal items and influences from throughout his life.

As Billboard magazine reported, there’s a wealth of Bieberish bits for fans to muse (and salivate) over – including his trainer collection and musical instruments from his childhood.

Museum curator John Kastner said that interest to the small Canadian museum has grown tenfold, attracting phone calls from around the world.

Funny that.

‘When it was first announced, I went down and saw our manager of exhibits and said, “Okay, I know you’re really working hard at this and I see the design is going to be fantastic. What I don’t want to happen is somebody flies in here from Japan and goes ‘I’m really disappointed’,”.

‘She goes, “Japan?’ I just got an email from somebody in Japan!”‘

Other Stratford residents and fans have also donated to the collection but it will be constantly refreshed from the museum’s access to 125 Bieber pieces.

Hustlers Director Lorene Scafaria: We Wanted to Treat It Like a Sports Movie

0

The star-studded cast of “Hustlers” didnt just become strippers in the empowering female-helmed blockbuster — they also became athletes.

When speaking to “The Big Ticket,” Variety and iHearts movie podcast, at the Toronto Film Festival earlier this month, “Hustlers” director Lorene Scafaria explained the extreme athleticism required of the movies leading actresses, who all had to learn how to pole dance for convincing performances. “We wanted to treat it like a sports movie,” Scafaria said, noting the grueling training that the girls, and especially Jennifer Lopez, had to go through to prepare for the role.

In the film, Lopez stars as Ramona, a scheming stripper who brings “new girl” Destiny (Constance Wu) under her wing to start ripping off money from their rich clientele. Also in their girl gang are Annabelle (Lili Reinhart) and Mercedes (Keke Palmer), each based off of real-life strippers that inspired the story.

“[The girls] are like football players leaving the tunnel because it does feel like [that] to follow out onto the floor. You got to psych yourself up for the big game,” Scafaria said. “Its either a solo sport or a team sport depending on how isolated you are or how many friends you have. I mean, strippers do work in teams, in pairs a lot. And so yeah, I mean I wanted to show the athleticism of it.”

One standout moment comes at the start of the film when Ramona performs her signature routine, which sees Lopez expertly slither her way up the pole like shes been pole-dancing her entire life. “My mouth is on the floor still probOriginal Article

Drake might have actually cemented his honorary status as a Brit now, after starting a rap beef with grimes godfather Wiley.

The Gods Plan rapper has just wrapped up his epic Assassination Tour at Londons O2 Arena after a seven-night stint, and apparently has a lot to get off his chest.

Sitting down for a chat with BBC 1Xtra radio host Tiffany Calver, Drizzy addressed Wiley, 40, recently calling him a culture vulture for bringing out tons of UK talent during his tour shows, including J Hus, Krept & Konan, Afro B, Dave and Fredo, to name just a handful.

Reacting to Wileys comments, Drake, 32, said: It is what it is, I see a lot and Ill never understand how supporting somebodys song or even going a step further and giving somebody a song or linking up…

Ill never understand how thats not viewed as something admirable but I guess people have their own outlook on it.

Clearly relieved at finally having the chance to respond to Wiley, Drake added: Thats just something I wanted to get off my chest. I just had to talk about it because its bothering me.

Calling out the grime legend directly, the Canadian rapper stated: But yeah, I didnt like that. Its Wiley that said that, Ill just say his name because that was some goofy s**t. But yeah, I just didnt like that.
