He may only have been engaged to Shona Ramsey (Julia Goulding) for the best part of a month but David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) could soon have his head turned by newcomer Natalie, Cassie Bradley has warned. Although while the thought of David cheating on Shona will no doubt enrage Coronation Street fans, Cassie insists that her alter ego is anything but malicious, despite entering the show as the person who helped Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) help steal a huge amount of money from his oblivious gran Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls).

The actress explained: Natalie has found a place she really likes and feels quite accepted. She wants to be here, shes had a tough time which you will discover in the coming weeks and months so I dont know what her end goal is but it certainly changes compared to what it was when she first came to the street.

She is now mixing with the people she has wronged as well and theres a lot of guilt there. Natalie is definitely not a malicious person, she was just a bit of a chancer but over time I hope viewers will see she has a warm and funny side – shes definitely someone Id want to hang around with.

One person who wont see that warm side is Nick – who definitely should be watching his back around Natalie, who digs in her heels when he tries to drive her away from the barbers shop by giving her menial jobs.

Cassie smiled: Natalie holds all of the cards at the moment – she is the one with nothing to lose and that scares Nick a little bit. He has definitely underestimated her because she is more than a match for him. He tries to drive her out with all of these menial jobs but Natalie has been there, done that and been through worse so it doesnt affect her and she stands her ground which is intimidating for Nick, definitely. And when Nicks not in control of something, he becomes vulnerable or can lash out – Natalie can definitely get under his skin.

On the other side of the coin though, Natalie gets on like a house on fire with David – but could it lead to something more?

The star mused: She actually gets along really well with David, he makes her laugh and they are a bit of a double act and David really likes her. What comes from that is this flicker of feelings – she hasnt had great relationships in the past so her feelings for David could become more than friendship. They certainly get on very well. He sees her more for who she actually is.

Of course, the secret of who took Audreys money remains a secret and Audrey and Natalie actually form a friendship, which is where a lot of guilt starts creeping in. But Cassie cant wait to film the inevitable reveal scenes with Sue Nicholls.
