The three family members found deceased were previously identified as Richard Gardner II, 78; Pepper Gardner, 56, and Richard Gardner III, 52.

L.A. County Sheriff’s Department Lt. John Corina said Richard Gardner II and Pepper Gardner were married. Richard Gardner III is the son of Gardner II and the stepson of Pepper Gardner, Corina said.

Brown has not been located as of Thursday morning, while autopsies are still being conducted on the deceased, Corina said.

Detectives, who said they believe Brown “may have” information about the murders, are also looking for a 2002 silver Toyota pickup with a camper shell and California license plate 42198C1, authorities said.

Detectives said the truck is registered to Brown, and neighbors, family and friends let them know it’s the vehicle he typically drives, authorities added.

Brown has family and friends that live in the Inland Empire and the Antelope Valley, but it is unknown where he currently is, authorities said.
