Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is reportedly making serious bank for Disneys forthcoming blockbuster Jungle Cruise – but its said that hes making double the salary of his co-star, Emily Blunt, in the process.
Jungle Cruise will see Dwayne, 46, star as the male lead Frank, alongside Emily playing female protagonist Lily, in Disneys adventure movie which is set for release in July 2020.
According to TMZ, sources claim Dwayne has taken home a staggering $22 million (£17.3 million) pay day for the role while Emily, 36, is allegedly earning $9 million (£7 million), marking a sizeable $13 million (£10.2 million) pay gap.
Although Dwayne is Hollywoods second highest-paid actor behind James Bonds Daniel Craig, the pay gap may be surprising considering Emilys recent box office success. The British actress is currently starring in Mary Poppins Returns, another Disney production, which has grossed close to an estimated $83 million (£65.3 million) worldwide.
Emily has also received a Golden Globe nomination for Mary Poppins and a SAG nod for her powerful performance in A Quiet Place. She is also hotly-tipped to receive an Oscar nomination next month.

According to the insider, Dwaynes $22 million (£17.3 million) is the same salary he is receiving for his forthcoming movie Red Notice, which also stars Wonder Womans Gal Gadot although its not known how much she is being paid.
The source also adds that the cast of Jungle Cruise get along well despite the alleged salary difference.
Hollywoods gender pay gap issue has been at the forefront of the movie industry over the last couple of years.
In 2016, there was public outcry when it emerged that Mark Wahlberg received $1.5 million (£1.1 million) to do reshoots for All The Money In the World, while his female co-star Michelle Williams, was paid nothing.
Following the controversy, Mark donated his fee to charity.
Last week, Disney reportedly hosted a test screening for Jungle Cruise for a private audience. Its alleged that the movie will feature an emotional coming out scene involving Jack Whitehalls character, McGregor.

Its said that the heartfelt moment between McGregor and Dwaynes character Frank, will not feature the word gay.
