EastEnders casts 2point4Children actress Julia Hills as feisty choir leader Morag

EastEnders bosses are bringing a familiar face on board in time for Christmas – 2point4Children star Julia Hills will be heading to Walford, and shes set to ruffle some feathers.

The actress will be in town to lead the Christmas Choir to victory, but shes set to rub a few people up the wrong way in the process with her larger-than-life personality and her domineering ways. Shell feature in several episodes in the coming weeks.

Morag will first pop up in a scene where Ian Beale, played by Adam Woodyatt, attends rehearsals in the hope of winning back his ex Mel Owen, played by Tamzin Outhwaite.

The 61-year-old actress is best known for playing Rona Harris in the BBC sitcom 2point4Children, which ran from 1991 to 1999.

Julia has also appeared in Casualty, Peak Practice, and voiced Annabelle Scrivener in The Archers.

Just yesterday Roger Griffiths confirmed hed be returning to his role as Mitch Baker on the BBC One soap.

He said: It feels great to be returning to Albert Square and working with the wonderful cast and crew again, especially the fantastic Taylor family.

Im excited for the viewers to learn more about Mitch and see what trouble he gets himself into this time.

Mitch will attempt to make amends with his son Keegan Baker (Zack Morris) and ex Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley).
