If looks could kill – well, maybe this one actually will. Mick Carter is in serious danger from an enraged Aidan Maguire as he has discovered that he has been duped over the moment found to save the Queen Vic. And, while Mick didn’t actually steal the heist money, Aidan is taking his deceitful behaviour as proof of his guilt. And he wants his revenge.

After Halfway came across an expensive ring while in the van while working for Ciara, it was valued at over £200k – more than enough for the Carters to save the Vic. But the celebrations have been cut short as Aidan wants answers, certain that the only way Mick could have funded the pub was to have stolen the money.

Some quick thinking from Johnny allowed the Carters to use a mock up article from a history project to persuade Aidan that a distant ancestor had passed down medals to the Carters which were sold for a fortune.

However, while Aidan eventually swallowed this, Halfway was selling a very different story to Mel Owen, who was told that the Carters had won money on a scratchcard. Thinking that they are out of the woods, the Carters waved off Johnny as he left the Square to take on a new job in Manchester.

But not far away, Aidan realised that he had been lied to as he conversed with Mel and Phil and, after furiously chucking a chair into a dining table, he yelled that he was going to kill Mick.

And boy, does he mean it! Is Mick’s time numbered? Or can he manage to avoid Aidan’s wrath?

Meanwhile, someone out there DID steal the money and it seems that the group are still no closer to discovering the culprit. But we can promise that the outcome will be revealed at last very soon…
