There’s a romantic and uplifting episode of Emmerdale ahead tonight as two popular couples reveal their true feelings – and if you aren’t sitting in front of your screen with a broad smile on your face as the credits roll, you have a heart of stone!
Maxine Alderton – the genius behind Ashley Thomas’ special episode and THAT scene in the woods which saw Robert Sugden confront his past and his bisexuality to Aaron Dingle – has put pen to paper to create an hour long special that will please a number of fanbases.
But this is no mere hour of fan-service – this is an episode that has it all. From some fantastic comedy courtesy of Bernice, Paddy and Kerry to some heart wrenching scenes between Tracy and Frank and some great character development for Priya, it’s perfect soap.
But let’s not deny it – the real highlight and reason for tuning in is that long awaited Robron reunion. We know they are getting back together but so far, the exact way it plays out is under wraps – and we aren’t about to ruin it for you now. The fanbase has more than earned this pay-off and it needs watched live to fully appreciate it.
Suffice to say, several issues are confronted, things aren’t rushed, there are nods to the past and there is genuine, raw emotion that transcends expectations from those expecting a fuzzy and nauseating Mills and Boon-esque exchange.
True to the characters, we believe this reunion will satisfy fans and give some real hope for the future – and that wedding.
And then there are the scenes between Vanessa and Charity – when Vanessa sets out to make Charity jealous, she does it with bells on and it works a treat. And Charity’s reaction is set to give an insight into how she truly feels about Vanessa. Perhaps the ‘g’ word might even come out to play.
