Emraan Hashmi has been away from movies for a while now but he has some interesting projects in the pipeline.

Emraan Hashmis next film Cheat India is about the education system. Sharing a teaser video of the same on the occasion of National Education Day on Sunday, actor Emraan Hashmi stressed upon the need for education saying it was the countrys backbone.

“A countrys education system is its backbone. Team Cheat India celebrates #Nationaleducationday. #CheatIndia #NakalMeinHiAkalHai @tseries.official @emraanhashmifilms @ellipsisentertainment,” the 39-year-old wrote along with a short video clip.

November 11 has been celebrated as the National Education Day since 2008. The date has been chosen to mark the birth anniversary of Indias first Education Minister – Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.

Cheat India is Emraans maiden production project and he is also starring in it alongside Shreya Dhanwanthary. Cheat India will hit screens on January 25 next year. Directed by Soumik Sen, it is a commentary on Indias education system.

Emraan is also gearing up for the premiere of his film Tigers on ZEE5. In the film, Emraan plays Syed Aamir Raza, a Pakistani salesman who fights against the rampant malpractices of baby-product manufacturers. Directed by Danis Tanovic, who won an Oscar for his 2001 film No Mans Land, Tigers is slated to release on November 21.

As per reports, Emraan will also be seen in a film titled Fathers Day as Suryakant Bhande Patil, a detective who solved 120 cases of child kidnapping for free.
