Film Fan? You’re Going to Love Sharjah’s New Drive in Cinema

Film fans, we have some exciting news! Sharjah is getting very own drive-in cinema and entrance will be completely FREE.

The exciting news is the brand child of Urban Entertainment, the same masterminds behind Vox Drive-In.

Sharjah's drive-in cinema will be located in the emirate's new family destination, Aljada.

According to report by The National, screenings will be free to attend and will operate on first come, first serve basis. Only 150 vehicles will be permitted entry. Vehicle placement will depend on size and once open daily screenings will take place from 8 pm. The list of movies will soon be made available on the entertainment district's website.

To further prevent the risk and spread of the coronavirus all guests will be required to keep their windows closed at all times to retrain from leaving their cars.

Once the venue opens in Sharjah, the concept will open in Ras Al Khaimah and Dubai.

The exciting news comes just days after Vox Cinemas announced its brand new viewing experience, Vox Drive In.

The unique cinema experience which starts today, Sunday, May 17, will take place on the third level of the Mall of the Emirates parking.

Tickets prices start at AED180, per car (only two people are allowed per ), and include snacks and drinks. Children under the age of 12 and those aged over 60 will not be permitted entry.
