High Octane Picks Up Claire Forlani–Jamie Bamber Thriller & Sci-Fi With Mindhunter Star Holt McCallany — Cannes

EXCLUSIVE: High Octane Pictures has picked up North American rights to thriller Skyscraper Escape (previously known as Crystal Inferno), starring Claire Forlani (Meet Joe Black) and Jamie Bamber (Battlestar Galactica), and North American distribution and international sales rights to sci-fi White Space, starring Mindhunters Holt McCallany.

After striking a deal with French seller Free Dolphin International, High Octane plans to release the former later this summer. In the film, directed by Eric Summer (Leap!), disaster strikes a downtown skyscraper when a gas leak causes a ferocious explosion setting ablaze the towering mass of metal and glass. On the 20th floor Brianna (Claire Forlani) and Tom (Jamie Bamber) a couple in the middle of a divorce settlement are forced to work together to help save their two children.

New to High Octanes Cannes sales slate is completed sci-fi White Space, which they also have for U.S. and Canada distribution. Written by Rylan Colucci (Suburban Cowboy) and Clay McLeod Chapman (The Dragons Egg), the film charts the journey of a deep space fishing vessel which comes across a rare and dangerous creature on its final harvest of the season. McCallany, who stars as Bill Tench in David Finchers hit Netflix crime-drama Mindhunter, stars alongside Dave Sheridan (Victor Crowley), Zulay Henao (Hostel Part III) and Tiffany Brouwer (The Help) star.
