Hollyoaks kicks off a terrible sequence of events tonight that could see a character die when two families are embroiled in a deadly crash in a Liverpool tunnel. As Diane and Tony Hutchinson argue over fugitive Harry Thompson, the Maalik family hit someone in the car, kicking off a disastrous chain that could change lives forever.
Hollyoaks filmed the scenes on location in a Liverpool tunnel which was closed off for them specially and tonight’s episode will see some of our favourites plunged into terrible jeopardy. As Diane and Tony head to visit her sister, the car is pulled to a stop when Diane hears noises from the boot.
As Tony looks on helplessly, she opens it up to find Harry stashed inside and she realises that her husband has lied to her and planned to help Harry escape as the police close in. Horrified, Diane decides to call the police but soon an even worse situation is unfolding.
As the Maalik family also drive through the tunnel after a day out, tension remains high between Sami and Kim Butterfield as she decides what to do with the recording of Ellie Nightingale’s confession that she found on him.
Suddenly, a horrific event explodes and after the Maaliks collide with someone, Misbah loses control of her car. As the family fight to escape the carnage, two of Misbah’s children will find themselves trapped and she is faced with a terrible choice – she only has time to save one as a lorry hurtles to the scene.
With the lorry going too fast to stop, Misbah makes her snap decision – but when the family car is obliterated, can she live with her decision? Has she lost one of her children?
With several lives hanging in the balance, are Hollyoaks fans destined to say another painful goodbye? Or will everyone manage to come out of this alive?
