Kendrick Lamar’s performance at the Brit Awards left everyone at home rather confused as he appeared to have been hit with technical difficulties.

Taking to the stage, Kendrick appeared led down on top of a car but as the music began, it appeared to stop and start, and basically just loop all over the place for solid minutes.

Sources at the ceremony told Metro.co.uk that the set was stopped three times, and as the show is only on minute-delay, viewers at home were treated to an extra long introduction.

‘It sounded like the music wouldn’t play properluy,’ the source added.

Kendrick was singing New Freezer which is a collaboration with Rich The Kid, who was also on stage with him.

Kendrick has been doing a run of shows in London, which coincided with the UK premiere of Black Panther for which he curated the soundtrack.

‘The fact that TDE and Kendrick got behind it and really curated the album, I think we were extremely lucky for that. He’s the voice of the people right now,’ said star of the film Michael B. Jordan.

‘He’s a true artist and he’s a collaborator. He saw the movie and got inspired. A lot of the songs are inspired by the film. It’s a big collaboration.’
