Lee Scratch Perry, the Godfather of reggae and dub, said he no longer wants to work with music, but instead is going to make a comic book.

Following in the footsteps of fellow musicians Will.i.am, Lights and My Chemical Romance, Perry is wanting to reinvent himself and venture into the world of comics.

The music legend, who famously used to work with Bob Marley, revealed to Metro.co.uk that working in the industry is too much stress and therefore wants to take a break.

He said: Instead of making music I want to make a comic, I want to make a change. I want to make a change from reggae music to make comics.

Reggae music has too much stress. Its the sensible thing to do.

His comic will reflect an ideal world where there will no longer be anguish and suffering.

He said: There will be no poverty in my comic book or no stress. The Emperor Perry White comic book.

Therell be no ragamuffin, or raggapuffin, or raggatuffin, no raggabuffin! Therell be no raggasmoking, cigarette smoking.

He added: I will find a cure for poverty, I will find a cure for stress, and I will find a cure for this stress. Comic economic, comic economic, comic economic.

He claims that he gave Marley the gift of reggae but says the singer changed his original plan when he started to take drugs.

Perry said: So Bob Marley changed my original plan. He took a lot of dope so he became crazy, so he did not have the glory and there was madness.

He had to clear the brain. But if you take cocaine how can you have a clear brain?

He had a crazy brain and a mad brain. Jesus was amongst him but when he went anti Jesus thats when he became funny.

Perry continued: When he became anti Christ thats when there was trouble. And when he became anti Christ he died. When one becomes anti Christ thats when one dies.

However despite their differences it sounds like Perry will keep Bob alive in his comic.

He said: My music is a comic and I want to mix it up, I will mix it up with Bob Marley.

Just like his aims for the comic book, Perry shows his ideal world through his 2015 film: Lee Scratch Perrys Vision of Paradise.

The movie was filmed by director who followed the musician round for 13 years.

Its a story of a revelation, and shows how Perry changed the world through music, a positive mindset and upbeat attitude.

Perry said: I am the luckiest man on the planet Earth. I come to earth to inspire. I am the black Jesus Christ I am back from the dead I am back from the Crucifixion and I am back from the dead.

I LSP, will turn the LSD into LSP.

Perry is currently touring the UK. Tonight he will perform at Londond KOKO where there will be a screening of his film with a live full band set.
