Lorde has accused Kanye West of stealing her stage design, after his Camp Flog Gnaw set with Kid Cudi featured a floating box.

The Royals songstress claims to have debuted the stunt during her 2017 Coachella performance.

Taking to Instagram, the 22-year-old called Kanye out for using a similar idea, and told her followers to never steal – not now its 2018.

She wrote: Im proud of the work I do and its flattering when other artists feel inspired by it, to the extent that they choose to try it on themselves.

But dont steal — not from women or anyone else — not in 2018 or ever.

However, Kanye sources told TMZ: Hes never seen a Lorde show and would never think to copy her.

Just last year, Lorde spoke to Spinoff about the glass box, and claimed she came up with the concept with stage designer Es Devlin.

She told the publication: I built the show with Es Devlin, who I have admired for a really long time. And from the jump, we were just wanting to head towards something that we felt like we hadnt seen.

Its hard to come up with stuff that feels new, and with the tank it felt weird and interesting and quite specific to me…The two of us just built it from the ground up, bouncing ideas back and forth.

I decided that I wanted the show to follow the arc of an evening in my life and I loved the idea of the show having a narrative – have a peak and having falls and slowly building in the same way that an evening does.

West has also worked with Es for more than a decade and collaborated together on tours including Touch The Sky, Glow in the Dark, Watch the Throne, YEEZUS and Saint Pablo.

But, following Lordes accusations, Es has since shared a picture from 2007, where she first presented the floating box for the English National Opera.

The concept isnt anything particularly new, as other artists such as Justin Bieber, A$AP Rocky, and Kendrick Lamar have also performed in glass boxes.
