Mel C has crushed our Spice Girls dreams as she works on new solo album

The Spice Girls reunited for a string of incredible stadium shows over the summer.

However, despite fans hoping that the group will eventually get back in the studio, it sounds like our 90s dreams came to ahead when they closed their finale date in Wembley.

Yes, a source recently claimed the pals have no plans to record any more music together, and we cant say were not slightly disappointed.

But while we mourn the end of an era, it sounds as though we have a Mel C album to look forward to, as its said the 45-year-old singer is back recording some tunes.

When chatting to The Sun newspapers Bizarre column, an insider claimed: Before the Spice Girls tour kicked off, Melanie had spent weeks in the studio making music for herself.

She has worked with Biff as well as young singer-songwriter Rae Morris and pop singer Fryars, who previously wrote for Lily Allen.

They added: Melanie wants to start releasing her music after the summer and is really excited to show people what she has been working on, given there are no plans for new Spice Girls songs.

Mel C has recently teamed up with Sink The Pink and has been giving fans a listen to her latest single High Heels while on the WorldPride tour.

During the LGBTQ+ shows, the Wannabe hitmaker closed down the WorldPride celebrations with the icon that is Madonna.

While dressed as her new alter-ego Madame X, Madge gave an empowering speech, as she celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots.

Talking to the crowd, the 60-year-old shouted: Fifty years of revolution.

Fifty years of freedom and fighting. Fifty years of putting up with discrimination, hatred and ignorance. Fifty years of not bowing down to fear.

The mother-of-six beamed: Im so proud and honoured to share this historical event with you. Fifty f**king years. Its insane. Are you with me?

She then went onto thank the LGBTQ+ community for all of their support through the years, and making her feel as though she belongs.

Since I came to New York as a wee-little girl, the Vogue songstress explained: I have always been embraced by queer nation.
