NFL Anthem Protesters Can Only Blame Themselves For Being Unsigned

Sports

Eric Reid is the latest NFL player to learn that protesting is bad for business, and he has no right to complain about not getting signed to a team.

Reid recently followed in the footsteps of former 49ers teammate Colin Kaepernick by filing a collusion grievance against the NFL for not being signed. Yeah, it makes for an interesting story, but the reality of the situation is that Reid isnt signed because hes bad for business.

What is the point of owning an NFL team or any other business? Last time I checked, it was to make money. You know how you dont make money? Piss off and alienate your customers and fanbase.

Nobody forced Reid to kneel for the Anthem, and nobody should force NFL teams to sign a guy that fans wont like. Just take a quick glance at his Instagram. I see way more stuff about social justice than I do football.

It only gets worse for Reid because he visited the Bengals, but problems came up over the Anthem because he reportedly wouldnt commit to not kneeling. Again, thats on Reid, and he has nobody to blame but himself.

The NFL isnt a right. Nobody has the right to be hired by any company. Business is business, and working for somebody is a privilege, especially when were talking about a job that pays millions and billions of dollars.

Its time for all the protesters to learn this lesson.
