Logic announced a new mixtape, Bobby Tarantino II, in a very unique way with the help of Rick and Morty.
Recently, Logic dropped three new songs, including Overnight, Everyday (with Marshmello) and 44 More, all directed at his haters.
In a short video clip, Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty contemplate some good music to vibe out to in their futuristic spaceship.
Morty suggests they ‘listen to album Logic.’
But Ricky, wanting more, was looking to ‘turn some shit up,’ so he wanted ‘mixtape Logic.’
‘I’m not in the mood for a message about how I can be whatever I want or equality and everybody and all that shit…I want to hear some fucking titties, throwing stacks on some ass!’ Ricky says.
The clip ends with a hard-knocking song and the official release date for the new project.
This isn’t the first time Ricky and Morty have ventured into the land of music as they released a song last year.
Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon’s creation has become a mainstream cult favourite in its third season, with a song from episode Rest And Ricklaxation even managing to crack the Billboard’s Hot Rock Songs Chart.
The song titled Terryfold from Seattle-based duo Chaos Chaos managed to chart at No. 33 following, according to Billboard, 1.1 million streams in the US and 1,000 downloads in the week ending 7 September 2017.
Terryfold featured the vocals of co-creator Justin Roiland, who sings totally serious lyrics like, ‘Grab my Terryfolds. Grab my foldy flaps. Grab my foldy holds.’
Logic’s Bobby Tarantino II is set to be released this Friday.
