The Huntsman: Winters War scribe Evan Spiliotopoulos wrote the script based on the Hasbro toy. Snake Eyes is the silent, masked, ninja commando who is part of the original members of the G.I. Joe Team. The character was featured in 2009s G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and 2013s G.I. Joe: Retaliation, played by Ray Park. No word on if Park will be reprising his role in the spinoff.

Brian Goldner is producing.

Variety was first to report this story.
