Inviting a fan up on stage is always going to be a risk and Amy MacDonalds experience proved to be just that.
The Scottish performer endured a particularly awkward moment when she invited a fan to perform on stage at her concert in Arbon, Switzerland.
Amy spotted a man was waving a sign asking to perform on stage, and MacDonald thought, why not? So invited him to join her.
The 31-year-old shared the entire affair on Twitter, relaying her instant regret at her decision.
Tonight there was a sign in the crowd Amy can I play your guitar? Now Im a nice gal, so I got the guy up, she wrote.
Up he comes, I hand him my (V. expensive) Taylor guitar. What are you gonna play for us?
Wonderwall he proclaims. *insert panic* Wonderwall is the 1st song of every fledgling guitar player. I thought give him a chance, he might be great.

I have never laughed so much on stage, she added gleefully. It was one of the best moments of my entire live career. We just went with it and played a verse and a chorus of wonderwall with him.
