This weekend Stormzy made history as the first black British solo artist to headline the festival with what is being hailed as an iconic performance.

Fans have also been heaping praise on a sign language interpreter who specialises in grime for her own performance during the rappers set.

Tara Asher is one of only four British Sign Language interpreters who specialises in interpreting grime lyrics for hearing impaired people.

A video of Tara absolutely giving it 100 percent at the festival has gone viral, with viewers impressed by her dedication and passion.

One person tweeted: She doesnt just sign, does she? She lives it! WONDERFUL!

While another added: Magnificent – the way she performs the mood as well.

Only 4 British Sign Language interpreters in the UK are specialists in Grime. Tara Asher signed Stormzys Glasto set for deaf festival goers.
She rehearsed each song for a day. This is joyous. She LOVES her job. Have a watch please. @BritishSignBSL @deafzone1 #glastonbury19 pic.twitter.com/OkeW9irIoG

In an interview with BBC Radio 5, Tara said she spends approximately a day per song translating it.

Before I come here I print out set lists trying to work out what songs they are going to play, stalk them a bit on the internet and find out whats happening.

Tara also makes sure to interpret the artists chat with the audience and chants so that hearing-impaired concert-goers get the full experience.

She added: So we make sure that everything is accessible to deaf people, chat, crowd participation, when they say “everybody over here scream, everybody over there scream”.

So then its kind of an overall experience of being part and parcel of a festival.
